Summer BMX is Heating Up

A great evening of racing went down at Erik Goetzinger BMX yesterday.  We had 14 motos and a group of 4 half track racers providing those watching with some exciting races.  As has been the case all year, our 5 and under novice group was the largest with 13 racers showing up.

Thank you everyone for supporting Erik Goetzinger by coming out to race and for all the parents who have been stepping up to help at the track before, during and after the race.  All the support and help is greatly appreciated and without it racing simply wouldn't be possible.

The rest of July will offer as much BMX as a rider could ever want with the following events.

Monday, July 20 through Wednesday, July 22 Pro 1 BMX Supercamp will be holding their Canadian Summer Camp at Nanaimo BMX.  Thanks to some great local sponsorship the cost of the camp is $275.00 US for the complete camp, which includes over night accommodations and food.  For those who just want to attend the riding clinics the cost will be $175.00 US.  For more information contact Randy Little at 250-619-7186 or you can sign up at the track on Monday morning at 9:00 am.  Supercamp has been coming to the Island for many years and they offer exceptional training for racers of all ages and abilities.

On Thursday, July 23rd Nick Goertzen will be holding a 1 day clinic at Coal Hills BMX in Cumberland.  The clinic goes from 9:00 am to 2 pm and the cost is $50.00 Canadian.  A pizza lunch is included.
